UTSAM Annual Meeting was held August 25, from 7pm to 8pm. The following was addressed at our meeting:
1. Announcements/ Introductions: Todd Thatcher
· Introductions conducted of Executive Committee Members who were in attendance at the meeting
· Todd Thatcher as outgoing UTSAM President with Steve Sugden to become President December 2026
· Members present were given the opportunity to introduce themselves remotely or in person
2. Keynote: Digital hypersensitivity: An Emerging Phenomenon through the Lens of Control, Craving, and Consequences: Steve Sugden
3. MOTAA 2.0: Todd Thatcher
· Newest version of the Modernizing Opioid Treatment Access Act includes:
· separate DEA registration for prescribing methadone for OUD, licensing controls, electronic prescribing, dispensing limits, expanded prescription drug monitoring program visibility
